Costa Rica Rivense Finca El Desafio [Villa Sarchi] 

A sweet and fruity experience for those who enjoy a bit of fruitiness in their coffee. El Desafio means 'the challenge' which was what the farmers set out for their harvest and is among one of the best in the world. This lot is of the Villa Sarchi variety, which is a mutation of the Bourbon variety that was developed in the town of Sarchí, in the West Valley of Costa Rica. It is a natural and spontaneous mutation of Bourbon, similar to that of Caturra in Brazil and Pacasin El Salvador.

4. Taste Notes: This coffee is super fruity with flavours of orange, strawberries and an aromatic hint of gummy wine.

We roast our coffee on order and ship out within 24 hours of roasting. We do not roast and store for sale!! Please DO NOT not consume the coffee immediately upon receipt and should note the roasted-on date of your packaging. For optimal results, adjust your resting time based on the type of brew you're making. As a general guide, darker roasts degassed as a much faster rate compared to lighter roasts. Our general recommendation is about 5 days for dark roast, 7 days for medium and for light roast, it's best to rest about 12 days for filter and 14 days for espresso.

Note: We will roast your order based on the gross weight of your order (250g | 1 Kg). Due to the roasting process, the net weight will be about 15% - 20% lesser. This is due to the heat, drying and shrinking of the beans.
